ROOF TOP EXPERIENCE

Des McDonald associates were retained by Selfridges group for 5 years to advise on all aspects of hospitality across the group, one of our many project was to develop a concept for the roof top location, we set about developing a new roof structure, interiors, new pop up kitchen and bar, from forest we developed various other schemes, Vintage Salt, and Q on the roof.

The Project solution.

Developing various concepts on a roof top of London most iconic department store does not come without challenges.

Our teams worked out of store hours to install the 300 m2 conservatory, fitting a bar, theatre kitchen plus new interiors and furniture. Our brief was to change concept for summer and winter. As we have developed and opened hundreds of restaurants, coffee shops and bars around the world, we are very proud of our achievements on the roof top of Selfridges, averaging 600 customers per day.
